The Oceanside Pier is the most popular attraction in the city. This famous wooden pier extends out almost a third of a mile into the ocean. It's a popular spot for recreational fisherman and those wanting a nice walk out to the end of the pier. There is a great restaurant at the end of the Oceanside Pier called Ruby's. It's very popular in the evening and you can get an economical breakfast there too.
The city of 80,000 residents enjoy the beauty of warm sunny beaches, ocean fishing, boating and surfing, along with modern retail shopping areas.
